Audio file managementAudio folders ► Global audio folders

You can change the location of the Global Audio Folder. This may be necessary if, for example, your hard disk is full and you want to move all audio data storage to a different hard disk. We strongly recommend that you do not change the location of the Global Audio Folder unless absolutely necessary.
If your original Global Audio Folder contains any audio files with the extension .wav, you must manually move these files to the new Global Audio Folder using the Windows Explorer, or open the project and use the Missing Audio dialog box to find and move the missing files.
1.
Go to Edit > Preferences > File - Audio Data.
2.
Enter the pathname of the new Global Audio Folder in the Global Audio Folder field, or click the Browse button that’s at the right end of the Global Audio Folder field to browse to the new directory.
3.
Click OK when you are done.
Tip: It is safer, but more time-consuming, to first save the all projects as bundle files, change the Global Audio Folder, then open the bundle files. This ensures that all of the audio data is properly moved to the new Data directory.
